I love Kathy Griffin. She is so funny! Watch her show My Life on the D-List on Bravo. (If you have TiVo, click this link for scheduling and info!) I can't believe that she didn't have a better turn out at her DVD signings. I don't even know what I would have done if she came here. I would so have been in line to have my Allegedly DVD signed. It is hilarious. You simply must buy it. Oh my God, if Kathy Griffin signed my DVD, I probably would have queened out and turned into some psycho Kathy Bates "Misery" fan...

I wonder if Kathy got to go to the MTV Awards. I read they had a fabulous $26,000 goody bag, and girlfriend loves a good gift bag. I would love to get some of those fancy gift bags. That would be so awesome! Though, I wonder if I would become jaded with them after a while. Kind of like the Slavon gift bags I used to get at work, and I would get all bitchy with "I do not need any more fraking Skin-So-Soft, thank you very much!" Hmm. Probably not, because they are definitely not giving celebrities junky Avon!

Finally got the wired network installed today... after they missed two appointments. Everything is working very well. I'm very pleased with the results.

I was getting very frustrated getting TiVo Desktop to transfer files from the two TiVos. I finally found that the nVidia network controller in my PC is buggy. Disabling checksum offload fixed the problem. It seems this setting causes problems with other software as well. Transferring files from the two TiVos, it is clear that the new silver 500-series TiVos (with the light-up face) are quite a bit slower than the older Series 2 models. TiVo to TiVo transfer seems to fare better, though, since the slow TiVo CPU doesn't have to DRM/remux the files.

Well... We're officially moved into the new house and tonight is the first time I'll be spending the night here. I'm very excited, except for all the unpacking that needs to be done. That's almost as bad as packing!

Man... packing sucks! I hate moving!

We saw The Dukes of Hazzard tonight. It was one of the dumbest movies I've seen in a long time. Yeah, I know, what did I expect? The sad part of it is, I didn't expect that much, and it was worse than I could have imagined! On the flip side, we saw The Wedding Crashers last weekend and very much enjoyed it. It was so much better than I thought it was going to be. It was very funny, without being a gross-out comedy.

Check out what the world looks like at night

Earth I found a link to this picture on digg.com. It's an amazing NASA image of the Earth at night. The image is a composite of hundreds of pictures made by orbiting satellites.

The WORST Album covers of ALL TIME. No, Really.

Disturbing imagery of afros, demons, sweater-vests, and leather thongs complete with whipped cream, bad hair and just plain bad taste, these are the worst album covers of all time.
