Today was Doug's birthday party. We all had a good time and Doug got lots of great presents!

Spent some time at the new house tonight. It was exciting. I know that I have to start purging and start packing and it makes me sick to think about. But I guess the sooner I'm packed, the sooner I can move!

I created an account on digg.com. It's a great tech news site where the users submit stories and then vote on the stories. The stories that we dig the most end up on the front page. It's run by Kevin Rose and Alex Albrecht from The Screen Savers. They also do a weekly podcast, which is laugh out loud funny. You can also directly link news stories into your blog with one click. Very cool.

Wow. Final walkthrough and closing are next week. This is my new house. It's a 3 bedroom with 2.5 bathrooms. The living room is two story, which I really like. There is also a full, unfinished basement. I hope to finish it one day and put an office/computer room and a theater/media room. It's already divided up nicely with wall studs and it's set up for bathroom connections as well. I wish that there were Ethernet network jacks in each room, though. I think I will have to pay someone to come and wire the rooms. Behind the house, it slopes down and there is a nature trail and lake down there. Way cool. I just dread moving though...

Sci-Fi Friday started up yesterday. AWESOME! It was a little depressing that Star Trek: Enterprise wasn't a part of it. But Battlestar Galactica was excellent and did not disappoint. It was also cool to see Skinner on Stargate Atlantis. Also, Carson has been upgraded to regular cast member, but it looks like Ford is out.
