While dissension among Xindi ranks festers, Enterprise tries to recover from a devastating attack and joins forces with an Illyrian ship that has also suffered damage. In desperate need of a warp coil, Archer takes extreme measures to continue on their mission.

• The Illyrian ship is new to the Expanse. Archer and an armed away team beam onto the Illyrian ship and steal their warp coil. Enterprise was attacked by pirates when they were new to the expanse earlier this season in "Damage".
  
• T'Pol becomes increasingly agitated. She puts on an EVA suit to retrieve some trellium ore from the damaged cargo bay. She melts it and injects it into her neck. When it doesn't help with her withdrawal symptoms, she finally informs Phlox what she has been doing, and that it has been going on for three months. She became addicted to the emotions after being exposed on the Seleya in "Impulse".
  
• Enterprise lost 14 crewmen, with three unaccounted for.
  
• Casey Biggs previously played recurring Cardassian character Damar on Deep Space Nine.
