• Jankom Pog meets fellow Tellarite Doctor Noum, who dismisses him and tells him the name "Pog" means runt.
  
• Dal comes face to face with the real Vice Admiral Janeway, but because of Barniss Frex's testimony of savage pirates destroying the relay, Dal flees.
  
• Murf's cocoon hatches, and he emerges with arms and legs.
  
• The U.S.S. Dauntless destroys the Protostar's third nacelle, but they manage to cross into the Neutral Zone. Three warbirds decloak and prevent the U.S.S. Dauntless from following.
