• Zero connects to the Borg vinculum to see if the Borg have the knowledge to disable The Diviner's weapon on the Protostar. Naturally, they want to assimilate the Protostar and the weapon, which they call "the living construct."
  
• The Borg identify Zero as Species 802, Medusan. They attempt to assimilate Zero, but it does not work.
  
• The Borg have returned to pronouncing "futile" as Picard does (few-TILE) as opposed to Seven's pronunciation (FEW-til).
  
• Jimmi Simpson (Drednok) does not appear in this episode.
