Voyager encounters a 300-year-old U.S. spacecraft from the first manned mission to Mars that is trapped inside a massive ball of energy.

• The Ares IV command module was piloted by Lt. Kelly and was in orbit around Mars in 2032 when it was trapped by the graviton ellipse.
  
• The Borg designation for the graviton ellipse is Spatial Anomaly 521.
  
• While on the Ares command module, Seven downloads Kelly's logs; they also retrieve his body and give him a proper funeral.
